Goose Island Supports Jonathan Thomas Memorial Fund

On 24 April 2016, friends and family of Jonathan Thomas supported a rugby tournament held at St Helen’s Rugby ground in memory of this young man who tragically lost his life last November.  Some of Johnny’s friends played in the adult tournament and the event also saw a children’s tournament and entertainment after the games.

As close friends of Jonathan’s parents, the directors at Goose Island offered their support by providing the kit for one of the teams participating in the tournament.

The Jonathan Thomas Memorial Rugby Day raised a total of over £3,500 to be donated to local charitable causes including the Langland Bay Lifeguards, the Phoebe Flo Fund and Kids Cancer Charity.

Going forward, we will continue to support the fund in any way we can.

Pictured are Karen and Peter presenting the kit to Julie, Rob and their son Nicky their son who helped organise the event.
