Behind the Scenes at a Goose Island Photo Shoot – Location Fairy Hill

With another photo shoot to showcase our Winter 2016 collection under the belt, the Goose Island marketing team can breathe a sigh of relief. Why? Because the planning that goes into a photo shoot plus the effort involved on the day is phenomenal!

Fairy Hill Gower Firstly, we have to ensure that the clothes we are using in the photo shoot will be available throughout the season so as not to disappoint our customers. We also have to use appropriate models for our target market as well ensuring they ‘suit’ the fashions we are showcasing.

Location is also key. In the past we’ve used studios as well as outdoor venues; this year we were delighted to have the opportunity to film at the amazing Fairyhill Hotel in the Gower. The hotel has recently been taken over by the owners of Oldwalls who kindly let us use the venue whilst they were closed preparing for Christmas.

As time of day is key, particularly in winter when daylight hours are shorter, we began our filming in the fabulous hotel grounds which was ideal to showcase some of our new winter coats and accessories.
